Dr. Brandon J. Bankowski

Brandon J. Bankowski, MD, MPH, is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist with extensive experience in the field of in vitro fertilization and genomics. He has practiced at ORM Fertility since 2005.

Dr. Bankowski works to improve the genetic health of his patients through increased awareness, screening, and state-of-the-art preimplantation genetic testing. “We are the interface between the genetics world and the future world; our ability to eliminate disease and influence success is astounding,” he says. “We’re advancing at a phenomenal rate and it will change everything in decades to come.”

Dr. Bankowski is known for his calm and reassuring manner, and is candid about his own experience as an ORM patient, along with his wife.

“Having been through miscarriage, multiple cycles and then having twins has given me amazing perspective. It makes me more sympathetic to what my patients are going through and allows me to be more sensitive to their needs.”

His study on the impact of complementary acupuncture and massage on his patients was presented at the international congress in Prague. More recently, he authored an original study on the link between specific periodontal bacteria and recurrent pregnancy loss.

Dr. Bankowski’s goal is to continually improve reproductive care for his patients, whether they are in Portland or abroad. Along with Dr. Hesla, he has extended ORM’s services to Europe and the Middle East. He is focused on providing a seamless experience for his international patients, saying: “We go places where we meet fascinating people in different cultures, with different experiences, who because of laws, legislature, or parliament, are told they can’t have their own child. So they fly half way across the world to Oregon and we offer them the opportunity to have their own children. It’s a really rewarding part of what we do.”
